I previously used a standard gel shaving cream (e.g. gillette). I began using a shave oil from the Honest Company, which I also liked, but after finding Taylor's I've been very happy and am on my second jar. I love that it comes in a glass jar versus something plastic. A small dab does an excellent job of providing a smooth shave and moisturizing your face and the scents are pleasant and masculine. Shave oils can tend to clog razors with a little more hair than a traditional lather, but I've found Taylor's not as bad in that regard. I would *definitely* recommend this to anyone looking for a shaving alternative!
